Welcome to our New and Innovative Chair Yoga Course!

We’re so excited to have you join this unique and transformative journey, designed to bring the benefits of yoga into the everyday life of your target audience, regardless of their mobility or flexibility levels. Whether you’re new to yoga or a seasoned practitioner, this course will guide you through sun salutations, yoga postures, yoga flows and more, in a mindful manner that we hope will allow your older clients to appreciate their stage of life. You would expect the chair to be a place of comfort but be aware that it can often consolidate postures and moves firing specific muscle groups that can be missed in global movement pathways recruited in the standing position.

What Makes This Chair Yoga Course Different?

In this course, we’ve reimagined traditional yoga poses and sequences to suit your needs, making yoga inclusive, safe, and highly effective for all body types, ages, and abilities. We combine innovative methods with the power of mindfulness and movement to bring you a holistic practice. Here’s what you can expect:

We prioritise why we do things with empathetic explanations that will empower the older generation.
  3. Customisable for Your Needs: This course is designed with adaptability in mind. You’ll find ways to adjust the intensity, speed, and duration to match comfort levels and fitness goals. This course empowers you to listen to your group and navigate mutually progressive teaching techniques.
  4. Daily Life Integration: Yoga doesn’t end when your session does! Our simple chair yoga exercises are designed to become part of every day life. Small changes can have huge impacts on health and productivity.
  5. Gentle Progression: The course builds progressively from basic movements to more advanced stretches and poses, with plenty of opportunities for modification. You’ll never feel overwhelmed, but instead empowered to teach at your own pace.

  • Core Engagement Techniques to build strength and stability
  • Gentle Spinal Twists for improving mobility and digestion

Course Format:

The course is divided into easy-to-follow modules, each focusing on different areas of the body and different aspects of your well-being. You’ll get access to:

  • Audio Tracks for guided meditations and breathing exercises

Getting Started:

Before you begin, find a comfortable, sturdy chair—preferably one with a straight back and no arms. It is important that feet can completely connect with the floor for grounding and support.

    This was a fabulous course to follow and I have enjoyed the learning progress as an add on to my Level 4 Yoga Qualification. There is a lot of content – all very useful and easy to follow. It gives a vast collection of poses and flows to refer to at any time to build and progress classes. I can’t wait to start teaching now!

    Hi, really enjoyed this course. This is an amazing form of exercise that is seriously lacking in many big gyms. I work for DL and recently had to bring in new classes as our pool is currently out of action for our aqua participants. We have a chair fitness instructor who has just started some classes which are going down a storm and this class will be a wonderful addition to my timetable.     So many great ideas. I loved the flows! I expected it to feel different from regular yoga, but it still captures the essence. What is the music which you used? I’m wondering about suitability of chairs, especially considering the vast height differences of participants.
